The objective of the NANoREG in Spain is bringing together research, regulatory authorities, and industry and to ensure that results of NANoREG find their way into discussions about regulatory issues of Nanomaterials, taking place on the Spanish and the European level.
Regulatory authorities involved are:
- Ministerio de Agricultura, Alimentacion y Medio Ambiente (MAGRAMA) involved in regulatory issues for nanomaterials from the environmental perspective. Voting capacity in REACH.
- Ministerio de Sanidad, Servicios Sociales e Igualdad (MSSSI) is involved in regulatory issues for nanomaterials from the perspective of human health. Voting capacity in REACH.
- Ministerio de Industria, Energía y Turismo (MINETUR) is involved with the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) committee for the analysis of socialeconomic impacts of the regulation. Furthermore, it is part of the industry working group of REACH lead by DG Enterprise.
- Ministry of employment and social security (MEYSS) is interested in the aspects relevant for labor security of nanomaterials.
